Burial will take place in Wilson Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.
Norma was born July 14, 1936 in Newark, Ohio to the late Walter and Thelma (Brown) Ervin. She passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Licking Memorial Hospital.
Norma was self-employed and ran a cleaning business for 25 years. She also did home health care for the elderly and was well-loved and requested because she went above and beyond the call of duty to make people feel better by doing their hair and cooking special meals and other little extras. She enjoyed dancing, cooking and singing and loved children. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by four children, Kathleen Sue Goslin, Ronald Lee Holler, Karen Elaine Morrison and Roberta Holler, all of Newark; grandchildren, Mick Goslin, Elaine Hamada and Mark Jacob Morrison; great-grandchildren, Derrick Austin Ward, Rachel Ann Ward and Crystal Jewell Ward; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katie Morrison; by a sister, Betty Jewel; and a brother, Walter Ervin, Jr.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Norma and her family.
